Sofia and I went to a Eastern “Medicine” Museum in HCMC where they had a bunch of herbal medicine woo-woo hooey with about as much research and careful effort as you’d expect put into presentation and factual accuracy. The B\u1ea3o T\u00e0ng Y H\u1ecdc C\u1ed5 truy\u1ec1n Vi\u1ec7t Nam (Museum and Study of traditional Vietnamese Medicine, maybe?) is located at 41 Ho\u00e0ng D\u01b0 Kh\u01b0\u01a1ng, Ph\u01b0\u1eddng 12, Qu\u1eadn 10, H\u1ed3 Ch\u00ed Minh. While it’s a beautiful building (recently constructed from parted out older homes, mostly from the 19th century), it’s mostly an advertising effort by a fake medicine company called Fito. There’s a video narrated by a nasally westerner who makes multiple hesitation errors and dully drones out demonstrably false claims about various herbal remedies. Later, Sofia and I went to a big new temple right around prayer time. It was a good time had by all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
