Here are some pictures we took in Hoi An.
Great times, good little scooter jaunt.
We stopped to get a cold coconut at a roadside thing, and it was just a collection of plastic chairs in a shaded area overlooking a bay. Super pretty. Sofia is pretty, too.
This dragon guarded the stairs up to the Guan Am temple in Da Nang.
The temple beside the giant Guan Am statue.
The back of Guan Am.
Guan Am from the base, looking up.
Looking out at the bay from the Guan Am temple place.
Sofia and Guan Am.
Cool lighting on this flower.
At the pottery museum in Hoi An. Terracotta biz.
Sofia making pottery at the big pottery museum.
This ultra-mega reminded me of The Fifth Element.
The second, smaller pottery place in Hoi An.
We ate at a nice place in Hoi An on the river- this place was pretty good. Tam, maybe? I can't remember what it was called.
The Japanese bridge in Hoi An is covered up with corrugated steel and not visible. The trash outside of it is, though.
This is a neat temple front.
Features of the temple.
This girl spent 30 or 40 minutes trying to take candid photos of herself at a temple. It was bonkers. She was trying to look like someone was casually filming her and just happened to give her the video afterward. She re-did it more times than I was able to count. It was really fucked up and sad.
The steps up to Marble Mountain Temple in Da Nang.
You used to be able to see a beach from the top of Marble Mountain. Now you can see this.
This is the view of the beach from the top of the climbing-out-of-the-cave bit.
Grassy mound.
Cool keyhole view in the cave
Sofia in the cave.
A butterfly resting on the marble floor.
Kind of crappy statues, but cheesily good fixtures.
The LEDs make it real "plastic Jesusy", but it has a charm to it.
The big buddha on Marble Mountain. Dwarfed by the Guan Am in Da Nang.
